Independence Day at Hope School
This last Saturday, school looked a little different as we celebrated Palestinian Independence day. It was full of food, traditional clothing, speeches, games, and laughter!
In a place in which we have little independence over our lives, for Hope School, the meaning Independence Day takes on is something less standard than one would assume. For us, it is a day to remind ourselves to continue to be active and steadfast in our commitment to unity, peace, love and coexistence. We remind ourselves that these are the elements which bring true transformation and justice, which Jesus Christ exemplified and calls us to, and which we have always deeply longed for. We invite you to continue to pray for His kingdom come; peace, justice, and love, in the Holy Land.
Blessings.
